Prepare for a career in the rapidly evolving field of Information Technology

Overview

The NC(V) Information Technology & Computer Science program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the dynamic field of information technology. This program covers a wide range of IT concepts, from computer hardware and software to systems development and networking.

Students will gain practical experience in programming, systems analysis, and computer applications, preparing them for various roles in the IT industry or further studies in the field.

Minimum Entry Requirements

For entry to the NC(V) Information Technology & Computer Science program, you require one of the following:

  • Year-end school report for Grade 9-12
  • NQF Level 1 qualification
  • An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2

Duration

It is a full year program at each NQF level (Level 2, 3, and 4). Students who successfully complete all three levels will be awarded the National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4.
