Campus Overview

The CN Mahlangu Campus was established in 1981, with teaching and learning commencing in 1983 under the banner of Prince C.N Mahlangu Technical College. Located in Siyabuswa, a town in the countryside of the Mpumalanga Province under Dr JS Moroka Municipality.

Siyabuswa lies approximately 10 kilometers from Marble Hall and was founded in 1970. The R573 regional route that links Pretoria and the N11 national road passes through the town. The campus serves as an important educational hub for the surrounding rural communities.

Siyabuswa is a cultural heartland for the Ndebele people and boasts an abundance of fantastic arts and craft stores as well as traditional villages. It is also home to and situated within minutes from numerous nature reserves. The town has an abundance of shops and shopping centers, including the Siyabuswa Mall which opened in November 2022.

Ndebele Cultural Heartland

The CN Mahlangu Campus is situated in Siyabuswa, which is known as a cultural heartland for the Ndebele people. The area is rich in traditional arts, crafts, and cultural practices that have been preserved for generations.

Students at the campus have the unique opportunity to experience and learn about the vibrant Ndebele culture, with its distinctive colorful geometric patterns and beadwork that have gained international recognition.

1981 - Establishment

CN Mahlangu Campus was established as part of the government's initiative to provide technical education in rural areas.

1983 - Commencement of Teaching

Teaching and learning officially commenced under the banner of Prince C.N Mahlangu Technical College.

1995 - Expansion Phase

The campus underwent significant expansion with new facilities and programs to meet growing educational demands.

2007 - Integration into Nkangala TVET

The campus was integrated into the Nkangala TVET College structure as part of the national reorganization of technical education.

2015 - Modernization

Major renovations and technology upgrades transformed the campus into a modern educational facility.

Present - Center of Excellence

Today, CN Mahlangu Campus stands as a center of excellence in technical and vocational education in the region.
