Develop essential skills for a career in mechanical engineering and related design fields
The NC(V) Engineering and Related Design program provides both theory and practical experience in the field of mechanical engineering. This qualification equips students with the knowledge and skills needed for various careers in the engineering industry, with a focus on mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and engineering design.
For entry to the NC(V) Engineering and Related Design program, you require one of the following:
It is a full year program at each NQF level (Level 2, 3, and 4). Students who successfully complete all three levels will be awarded the National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4.
The NC(V) Engineering and Related Design qualification provides an opportunity to access careers in any of the sectors listed below:
Upon successful completion of the NC(V) Level 4 qualification, students can pursue further studies in Mechanical Engineering or related fields at universities, universities of technology, or other higher education institutions.
The program includes practical training components where students gain hands-on experience in:
These practical sessions are conducted in well-equipped workshops and laboratories at the college, providing students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practical situations.
