National Certificate (Vocational) - Civil Engineering & Building Construction

A comprehensive program covering theory and practical components of Civil Engineering and Building Construction

Overview

The NC(V) Civil Engineering & Building Construction program is designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the field of civil engineering and construction. This qualification provides students with the opportunity to develop skills that are relevant to the construction industry.

Minimum Entry Requirements

For entry to the NC(V) Civil Engineering & Building Construction program, you require one of the following:

  • Year-end school report for Grade 9-12
  • NQF Level 1 qualification
  • An approved bridging program designed for the specific purpose to access NQF Level 2
  • Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) assessment to meet the basic requirements for access to NQF Level 2

Duration

It is a full year program at each NQF level (Level 2, 3, and 4). Students who successfully complete all three levels will be awarded the National Certificate (Vocational) at NQF Level 4.
